A new Tesco shop is to be built in Holywell Swords. [ See Map Below ]The planning application has being received by Fingal County Council from Swords Nucleus Developments Ltd. The planning permission on the site c 2.4 ha. The development will consist of local community and commercial facilities over 2 stories including a medical centre, cafe / restaurant unit, 2 local retail units and an anchor retail unit which will be Tesco shop which will include an off licence.
The work will also include road improvements, all site services and infrastructure, landscaping, 2 no. free standing signs and has a gross floor space of 5309 sqm along with 299 car parking spaces and 5 motorbike spaces.The location will be at the junction of the R125 and Holywell Link Road at Crowcastle and Marshalistown Swords.
The new Tesco will open on Monday the 22nd of May 2017.
Directions - From Dublin City - pass the turn for the Airport and take the next exit for Swords. The shop is on the right beside the first roundabout. From Swords - enter the R 125 road at the Travelodge [ Pinnickhill Roundabout ] take 2nd exit [ straight through ] first roundabout, the new Tesco is on the left at next roundabout.

The car parking for the shop is free for 2 hours, with no barrier, 230 spaces are provided. If you park for more than 2 hours there's a risk you may be clamped, the release fee is €100. The car parking spaces are extra wide. There's a set-down, pick-up area at the front door. Inside the shop are 8 checkout's plus 6 express checkout's for baskets. Also included is an off licence.
